Below we outline the God Shack's Statement of Faith. As previously mentioned, we do not divert from the benchmark definition of Christianity (referred to as Orthodoxy).

We have, however, included in the Statement of Faith items which are core to the Pentecostal experience. As these doctrines are not matters relating to salvation, or the nature of God, we freely accept that members of other denominations may disagree on those items.

Our Statement of Faith

1.We believe in the completely Divine inspiration of the accepted canon of Scripture as originally given: and that it is infallible, uniquely authoritative, and free from all error in the matters with which it deals: 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13.

2.We believe in the eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as an eternally existant tri-unity (ONE God existing in THREE persons): God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit: distinguishable, but indivisible: Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

3.We believe in the creation, test, and fall of man as recorded in Genesis: his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain Divine righteousness: and the resultant Divine curse on the creation, the worldwide cataclysmic deluge, and the origin of nations and languages at the tower of Babel: Genesis 1-11; Romans 5:12,18.

4.We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of men, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in accordance with Old Testament prophecy: Luke 1:26-35; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6.

5.We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is one being with two natures - fully God and fully man with each nature being distinct and complete. These natures are indivisible: yet not to the point of coalescing, thereby creating a third hybrid (humanoid) nature: John 1:18; 1:30; Colossians 2:9; Revelation 1:8.

6.We believe Christ died for our sins on a Cross at Golgotha, was buried in a borrowed tomb, defeated death on the third day by rising from it, and personally appeared to approximately 500 of his disciples before His ascension: 1 Corinthians 15:2-8; John 20:19-31.

7.We believe in the physical ascension of Jesus to Heaven, His exaltation, and personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for His bride, the Church: John 14:2,3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

8.We believe in the salvation of sinners not by works, but by grace and repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Golgotha by which we obtain remission of sins: Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12,22; Romans 5:11.

9.We believe in the necessity of water baptism in the Name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfil the command of Christ: Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6.

10.We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequential to salvation, as a distinct aspect of the Christian foundational experience: Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17.

11.We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting in holiness in the fear of God as an expression of the Christian faith: Ephesians 5:18; 2 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1.

12. We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ as the last instrument that God is using to extend His Kingdom prior to the second coming of Christ: Ephesians 3:10; Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:20,22.

13.We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14 as seen manifested in the early church.

14.We believe in the healing of the body by Divine Power, or Divine healing in it's varied aspects as practised by the early church: Acts 4:30; Romans 8: 11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14.

15.We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly known as communion, or the Lord's supper, is for the rememberance of those who are believers: 1 Corinthians 11:28-32.

16.We believe in the eternal life with God for the believer, and the consequential eternal seperation from God and punishment of unbelievers: John 5:24; 3:16; Mark 9:43-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 19:10-15.

17. We believe that the eternal judgment of unbelievers as outlined in Revelation 20 was not God's original intent for His creation (as stated by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:41)- it was prepared for Satan and his hordes.

18.We believe in the reality and personality of Satan (also known as the serpent, Lucifer, and the beast) whom exalted himself against God, was thrown out of Heaven, tempted Adam and Eve, and their decendants since. At the last day God will deliver eternal judgement to him and his dark angels (also known as demons, principalities, and powers) in the lake of fire that has been prepared for them: Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15.
